Patti Isaacs is a Midwesterner; native to Northern Indiana. She relocated to Oregon and has called Portland and surrounding areas home for most of her adult life.
Patti’s art journey has taken her along many mediums; from family members teaching knitting, crocheting, embroidery, sewing and quilting. All of these early creative journeys have brought her to her most recent mediums, paper manipulation and silk painting.
Patti studied art throughout high school and college at Indiana University. Through collaboration with fellow artists and self-study, Patti has learned the technique of silk painting called Serti and paper art of Iris Folding.
Patti’s trips to Japan inspired an Asian influence to her work, as well as a serenity and strength through color and texture choices.
Patti’s solo show at The Loft in Seaside entitled “From the Land of the Rising Sun” was well received. Her show list includes Celebration of Creativity, The Reser’s Small- Wonders, Washington County Open Studio Tours, The Japanese Gardens-The Paper Garden show, Fire on the Water- The Dragon Boat show and Art on Broadway.
