…the art show
Hi! My name is Amanda Isabelle Amezcua. I’m currently a graduate student at Portland State University, studying medical history.
I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. I do traditional and digital art, and have thought about getting my art out there for a while now, and now I’m finally doing it! Any proceeds will go towards funding my education, and helping me to continue creating art.
I was born in Washington, D.C., raised in Chula Vista, California, and moved to Portland, Oregon back in 2007. Besides a brief year back in DC in 2020, and my four years in Eugene, Oregon to get my Bachelors of Arts in History and Philosophy, Portland has become my hometown.
I’ve worked as a substitute teacher, in various libraries at the reference desk, and despite the various demands of grad school, I still read for fun! Cozy mysteries are one of my favorite genes, and I LOVE Nancy Drew. Day trips to the Oregon coast are my happy place.

Hey there! My name is Allison Van Richter, and I am a water color artist based in Hillsboro, Oregon. My love of pastel colors, interesting figures, and fun shapes is reflected in my artwork. I especially enjoy creating petite artworks that can brighten small, unexpected spaces—these little pieces love finding a new home hanging just above a light switch or tucked into a bare corner next to that thriving monstera plant. This art is best served with a thick, juicy romance novel, a hand knit blanket, and a matcha latte. Enjoy!
